Foundation stone laying ceremony of High Impact Community Development Project (HICDP) in Rautahat, Madhesh Province, Nepal Foundation stone for the construction of School and Library building of Shree Primary School in Rajdevi Municipality-4, Rautahat in the Madhesh Province of Nepal, was jointly laid today by Shri Devi Sahai Meena, Consul General, Consulate General of India in Birgunj, and Shri Bhikari Prasad Yadav, Mayor of Rajdevi Municipality. 2. The School Building of Shree Primary School at Rajdevi Municipality-4, is being built with Government of India’s financial assistance of amount NRs. 28.4 million. 3. The new infrastructure will have a two-storey building with a stair cover, eight classrooms (four on each floor), toilets for boys and girls, a septic tank, soak pit, tube well, sanitary works, electrical works, and other allied facilities. The project has been taken up as a High Impact Community Development Project (HICDP), and will be implemented through the Rajdevi Municipality, Rautahat. 4. Mayor, Rajdevi Municipality, School Management and other stakeholders appreciated the developmental support being provided by the Government of India. 5. As close neighbours and development partners, India and Nepal engage in wide-ranging and multi-sectoral cooperation in various areas. The implementation of the HICDPs reflects the continued support of the Government of India in reinforcing the efforts of the Government of Nepal in achieving growth and development. Birgunj(Nepal)
